Lauren Calvert is an alumnus of the William S. Boyd School of Law at the University of Nevada, Las Vegas, where she graduated cum laude and earned CALI Awards in Contracts, Gaming Law Policy, Constitutional Law, Evidence and Professional Responsibility. While studying law, she worked as a law clerk with the Nevada Supreme Court for the Honorable Justice Michael Douglas and research assistant to law school Dean Ngai Pindell. Before law school, Lauren earned a bachelor of science in Economics at UNLV.

Immediately following law school, Lauren began working at the law firm of Lionel Sawyer & Collins in their Gaming and Regulatory Law department. Among others, she represented MGM Resorts International and Dubai World in their multi-billion dollar CityCenter development on the Las Vegas Strip; Las Vegas Sands Corp. in state and federal lawsuits; and Cantor Gaming, Latin Chamber of Commerce, City of North Las Vegas, World Market Center and others as a lobbyist. She also assisted in co-teaching gaming law courses at the Boyd School of Law for four years.

More recently, Lauren served as lead class counsel in nine class action lawsuits against Nevada strip clubs. She also represented claimants in multiple pharmaceutical and medical device national mass torts and drivers for Uber in Nevada. This hands-on experience with complex litigation eventually led her to serve as General Counsel for a national legal software and technology firm. Today, Lauren focuses her practice on complex litigation, civil rights “Section 1983” litigation and gaming and administrative law. She lives in Boulder City, Nevada, where she enjoys road cycling and practicing yoga.
