A veteran litigator with more than fifteen years of experience, Corey represents clients across a variety of industries and practice areas, with particular emphasis on the healthcare industry. Mr. Krueger defends healthcare providers and institutions in malpractice and elder abuse actions, as well as in administrative license defense matters. He also has a robust labor and employment practice, representing employers in employment practices and wage and hour matters. He maintains an active advice and counsel practice, advising employers with regard to employee handbooks, disciplinary and termination matters, and workplace investigations.

Representative Experience
  • Motion for Summary Judgment granted in favor of Emergency Medicine physician accused of delayed diagnosis with resultant delayed surgery; upheld by California Court of Appeal.
  • Motion for Summary Judgment granted in favor of towing company accused of assisting police with allegedly improper seizure of tractor-trailer; upheld by Ninth Circuit.
  • Defeated repeated efforts by Medical Board of California to summarily revoke license of psychiatrist, eventually settling with reasonable package of education measures.
  • Secured dismissal of charges by Medical Board of California against family practice physician falsely accused of sexual misconduct with a patient.
  • Numerous EEOC and DFEH investigations closed with findings of insufficient evidence after submission of defense Position Statements.
  • Induced dismissal of medical malpractice action by obtaining court order requiring out-of-state plaintiff to post bond in order to proceed with action.
  • Successfully argued application of shorter medical malpractice statute of limitations to fraud cause of action, thereby obtaining summary judgment in favor of surgeon client.
  • Conducted wage and hour audits of clients seeking to ensure compliance with California law and limit class action and PAGA exposure.
  • Engaged in workplace investigation relating to alleged malpractice by Registered Nurses, advising client on both malpractice and employment issues.
