Araba Panford is an Associate at Messner Reeves Las Vegas office. Since passing the Nevada Bar, in 2008 Ms. Panford has practiced in insurance defense and has represented insured individuals and businesses in personal injury, premises liability and construction defect litigation. Araba has worked for private firms and as field counsel for Liberty Mutual Insurance Co. She has obtained defense verdicts in slip and fall cases and car accidents with contested liability. Additionally, Araba has successfully negotiated and settled several cases for less than the asserted damages.
Ms. Panford received her Bachelor of Arts degree in Psychology with a minor in African- American Studies, from Northeastern University in Boston, Massachusetts. She earned her Juris Doctorate and International Law Certificate from Loyola University New Orleans College of Law, in 2008. While pursuing a J.D., Araba handled cases through the Criminal Defense Clinic at Loyola. Araba is licensed in Nevada and Massachusetts.

As field counsel for Liberty Mutual Co., Araba obtained a favorable arbitration decision in a case in which she also successfully argued to keep the case in the court mandated arbitration program with damages capped at $50,000, although Plaintiff was alleging over $300,000 in medical specials. Araba has also tried cases is Clark County, Nevada’s short trial program.
