Download BioSteven Coffin is a litigation Associate Attorney at Messner Reeves LLP in Phoenix, Arizona. Mr. Coffin’s practice focuses on a variety of employment litigation matters, including wrongful discharge, discrimination, and workplace torts. Mr. Coffin’s practice also includes advising clients in corporate transactions and representing clients in a variety of commercial litigation, real estate and construction matters.
Mr. Coffin received his B.A. in Political Science from Texas Tech University. A true Red Raider, he also received his J.D., Magna Cum Laude, from Texas Tech University School of Law. During college, Mr. Coffin was selected for Texas Tech’s Presidential and Congressional Internship in which he served as a congressional intern for Senator Ted Cruz in Washington, D.C. During law school, Mr. Coffin was a member of the Estate Planning and Community Property Journal where he received the Top Editor award. Mr. Coffin also received top grade awards in Criminal Law, Torts, and Trial and Appellate Procedure. During his first year of law school, he placed second in the school’s first-year negotiation competition and fifth in the mock trial competition. Throughout law school Mr. Coffin clerked with a Texas State District Judge and a prominent local trial attorney. In his third year of law school, Mr. Coffin represented clients in court under a provisional law license on a variety of civil litigation matters. Mr. Coffin also served as the accountant for Phi Delta Phi Legal Honor Society, was member of the Oil & Gas Interest Group, and served as a mentor to incoming first-year students.
