Messner Reeves Welcomes Seven New Attorneys to Las Vegas Office

At Messner Reeves, we are excited to announce the addition of seven new attorneys to our Las Vegas office! Please join us in welcoming Megan Wessel, Jonathan Owens, Karie Wilson and Ashley Walters.

Jonathan Owens, Partner

On October 24, 2022, we welcomed Jonathan Owens as a partner attorney. His area of practice will be personal injury defense, including complex litigation and trials. Joining him from his previous firm are partner Karie Wilson and associate Ashely Walters.

Jonathan is a University of Utah graduate, earning his J.D. in 1999. After graduation, he moved to Nevada, where he has been practicing law for nearly 23 years. Jonathan has two French bulldogs; an eight-year-old male and a two-year-old female. In addition to spending his free time with his dogs, he enjoys Jiu-Jitsu training, a hobby he has invested four years into as he continues to learn something new each time. Jonathan also enjoys cooking new recipes.

Karie Wilson, Partner

Karie Wilson joined our Las Vegas office as a partner on October 24, 2022. Here she will focus her practice on civil litigation, mainly cases concerning transportation, product liability, and premise liability matters. She is a 2001 J.D. graduate of the California Western School of Law.

Karie has three Labrador retriever mixes; two black and one chocolate. She enjoys walking, hiking with her dogs, and traveling in her free time. The Northern Lights was one of the most beautiful sites she had seen while traveling recently.

Ashley Walter, Associate

Messer Reeves welcomed associate attorney Ashley Walter on October 24, 2022. She will work alongside Karie Wilson focusing on personal injury defense and civil defense litigation matters.

Ashley earned her J.D. in 2022 from the University of San Diego. She recently passed the bar exam and was sworn in just a few weeks ago in Nevada. Congratulations, Ashley!

She is a native Californian, growing up in San Diego as the youngest of three children. Ashely enjoys spending her free time with her two-year-old mini labradoodle. She also loves anything related to Disney, and her favorite Disney movie is Peter Pan.
