Three New Attorneys Join Messner Reeves in September

Fall has brought Messner Reeves new wins, monumental growth and new talent. Read below to get to know our new attorneys a little better. 

Alyson Jaen 

Alyson joins the Messner Reeves team as an associate in our Denver office. Alyson’s specialties lie in cannabis law, licensing and regulatory compliance in addition to general corporate and business law. Throughout her career, Alyson has counseled clients on matters such as cannabis licensing and regulatory compliance matters. She’s even provided representation before the Colorado Marijuana Enforcement Division, the Denver Department of Excise and Licenses, and other local regulatory agencies. She’s even advised private and public companies on how to properly and seamlessly operate in the cannabis industry. 

Jose Riviera

Jose joins Messner Reeves as an associate in our Las Vegas office. A former campaigner, Jose utilizes his strategic skills to develop favorable outcomes for clients in the negotiation and litigation space. His experience spans from government affairs to real estate law motion amongst several other practice areas. Jose is a graduate of the William S. Boyd School of Law at the University of Nevada and even received a concentration in health law while attending. 

Heather Armantrout

Heather joins Messner Reeves as an associate in our Las Vegas office. Heather began her career as an attorney in 2017 after spending 15 years as a registered nurse. Her prior experience in the healthcare field further amplifies Heather’s range of knowledge and understanding as she mainly practices in the medical malpractice defense and healthcare law industries. Heather graduated in the top third of her class at the William S. Boyd School of Law at the University of Nevada, where she received Cali awards–Lawyering Process II (legal writing) and Law and Religion with Ninth Circuit Judge Jay Bybee–and the Scribe Award for legal writing. After graduation, she served as a senior clerk for the Honorable Jerome T. Tao of the Nevada Court of Appeals.
