Joshua Anderson
Partner
Joshua Anderson is a partner in the Orange County office of Messner Reeves, where his practice focuses on business litigation, general litigation, insurance defense, and labor and employment issues.
A seasoned litigator, Joshua brings extensive experience in business litigation and insurance defense matters. His diverse experience affords him a well-rounded perspective in handling complex litigation matters. His practice runs the gamut of a company’s life, from issues with starting and forming a business, ownership disputes, and through “business divorces,” as well as defending individuals and businesses in personal injury and negligence matters.
His has also successfully represented clients in matters of breaches of contract, contract interpretation, business torts such as interference with contract, negligence, fraud, and strict liability, breaches of fiduciary duty, unfair competition, misappropriation of trade secrets, alter ego liability, and other related claims. Additionally, Josh has represented multiple Fortune 500 companies defending against consumer finance litigation matters across the country.
In addition to civil and business litigation matters, Josh has always maintained a family law practice, handling highly complex financial situations, many often including business matters. His family law practice includes serving as the lead attorney in numerous contentiously litigated matters that resulted in successful outcomes for his clients concerning issues such as business valuations, transfers of ownership, ownership disputes, and evaluations of cash flow.
He has held multiple leadership roles within the Orange County Bar Association’s Business Litigation Section, including Chair, Chair-Elect, and Secretary/Treasurer.
Josh received his bachelor’s degree in political science from the University of California, San Diego and his J.D. from Loyola Law School-Los Angeles, where he graduated cum laude in the top 10% of his class and as a member of the Order of the Coif.
He is admitted to practice in California and before the United States District Court, Central District of California, the United States District Court, Southern District of California, and the United States District Court, Eastern District of Michigan.
