Partner
Alexandria Davé is a Partner in the Orange County office of Messner Reeves LLP, where her practice focuses on labor and employment matters, litigation, insurance defense, catastrophic injury, and habitability disputes. Her practice is grounded in thorough legal analysis, strategic advocacy, and a commitment to helping clients navigate challenging legal matters efficiently and effectively.
Alexandria brings experience advising individuals, businesses, and public entities on complex legal issues spanning litigation, employment matters, constitutional claims, professional responsibility, contractual disputes, immigration, and municipal law. She has represented clients in state and federal courts and advised clients through all stages of litigation. She has worked on high-stakes contractual disputes, civil rights matters, employment issues, and insurance-related claims, providing practical guidance tailored to each client’s objectives.
Prior to joining Messner Reeves, Alexandria maintained a broad civil practice and served as counsel on a variety of matters involving labor and employment law, professional liability, contract disputes, immigration issues, municipal law, wildlife protection, and constitutional claims, including civil rights. She co-counseled with the American Civil Liberties Union of Northern California on a First Amendment matter that resulted in a favorable resolution and helped secure a successful outcome in complex litigation involving contractual, tort, and foreign affairs issues. Her experience also includes advising a municipality of employment, ethics, constitutional, land use, and contract interpretation issues.
Alexandria’s appellate experience includes successfully challenging an adverse decision before the Foreign Claims Settlement Commission, where a panel of federal commissioners ultimately reversed their proposed decision and issued a favorable ruling.
Ms. Davé began her legal career with a judicial clerkship at the United States District Court for the Northern District of California under the Honorable Nandor Vadas and as a judicial extern for the Honorable Harry Pregerson of the Ninth Circuit Court of Appeals. And through the University of Southern California Gould School of Law Immigration Clinic, she represented an asylum applicant in removal court proceedings, securing the person’s political asylum. That experience continues to inform her dedication to client advocacy and access to justice.
Alexandria earned her Juris Doctorate from the University of Southern California Gould School of Law and her Bachelor of Arts from Scripps College. She completed Negotiation Essentials through Harvard Law School’s Program on Negotiation and remains active in the legal community through organizations including Lawyers Club, the San Diego County Bar Association Leadership Academy, the UC Berkeley Center on Comparative Equality and Anti-Discrimination Law, and the Enright Inn of Court. Previously she served for many years on the board of directors of the American Civil Liberties Union of Northern California along with its legal committee.
