Partner
Josephine (Jo) Jihai Park is a partner at the Orange County office of Messner Reeves, where her practice focuses on business litigation, personal injury, and construction law. Based in San Jose, Jo brings 15 years of litigation experience and a commitment to understanding each client’s needs before developing a strategy to address them.
Jo’s experience includes civil litigation, real estate disputes, construction defect claims, and complex breach of fiduciary duty and fraud cases. She has guided cases through discovery, motion practice, settlement negotiations, and trial. Her approach combines thorough factual analysis, persuasive written and oral advocacy, and careful attention to her clients’ priorities.
Among her prior matters, Jo served as managing attorney in a complex 11-day trial involving a request to set aside a judgment for fraud. In addition to practicing law, Jo has served as a fractional chief operating officer for a law firm, where she evaluated firm practices, researched new technology, and implemented procedures to improve efficiency. Her earlier experience includes work with the Santa Clara County District Attorney’s Office, the California Attorney General’s Office, and also with Logos PLC in South Korea.
Jo earned her Juris Doctor from the University of California College of the Law, San Francisco, and her Bachelor of Science in Environmental Economics and Policy from the University of California, Berkeley. She is admitted to practice law in California.
Jo serves on the Executive Committee of the William A. Ingram Inn of Court and is a member of the Christian Legal Society. Outside her practice, she enjoys spending time with her family and plays the trumpet each Sunday at Full Gospel Central Church of San Jose, of which her dad is the pastor. She also translated the published Korean children’s comic book Children of Faith: The Three Amigos!, a childhood favorite.
