Sheridan C. Justis

Sheridan C. Justis is an associate at Messner Reeves, where her practice focuses on litigation and insurance defense.

Sheridan represents clients throughout all phases of litigation, from initial pleadings through trial. Her representation has extended to both individuals and businesses. She has successfully litigated multiple cases through jury verdicts and has appellate experience that includes arguing before the Colorado Court of Appeals. Before joining Messner Reeves, she spent six years practicing with a Denver-area law firm.

Through her membership with the Colorado Defense Lawyer’s Association, Sheridan focuses her community outreach efforts on engaging with law students to foster student-professional relationships for the next generation of attorneys in Colorado.

Sheridan’s early legal experience exposed her to business matters across several industries. Her research into corporate data privacy law, international arbitration, and contract enforceability allowed her to draft legal memoranda to guide company internal operations. She collaborated with in-house counsel to assist companies specializing in finance, engineering, architecture, and construction.

Sheridan gained additional hands-on experience as a senior-certified law student with the Milton R. Abrahams Legal Clinic, where she provided legal services to low-income residents. Her caseload included matters in estate planning, divorce, child custody, landlord-tenant disputes, and property law.

Sheridan earned her J.D. from Creighton University School of Law in 2020. She received her B.S. in journalism and political science from Northern Arizona University in 2017. She is admitted to practice in Colorado and Arizona.
