Amanda M. Saykes
Associate
Amanda M. Saykes is an associate in the Greenwood Village office where her practice focuses on Real Estate and Corporate Transactions.
Amanda supports the firm’s broad book of clients, ranging from individual entrepreneurs and small businesses to Fortune 500 companies. She strives to help clients create a vision for their matters while simultaneously providing skilled legal advice on a multitude of complex real estate issues. Amanda concentrates her practice on commercial real estate and corporate business transactions including, but not limited to, commercial leases, acquisitions and dispositions, ground leases, purchase and sale agreements, development agreements, management agreements, operating agreements, letters of intent, amendments, and subleases, title examination, conveyance, review of title insurance and surveys, contract negotiation, and ancillary transactional matters.
Amanda also had broad experience in the financial industry and she utilizers her prior experience as Corporate Counsel to strategize based on the unique needs of businesses and anticipate arguments on both sides of the table. Prior to joining Messner Reeves, Amanda spent six years at a national broker-dealer and registered investment advisor. While serving as Corporate Counsel, she advised on the Investment Company Act of 1940, the Investment Advisers Act of 1940, the USA PATRIOT Act, the Bank Secrecy Act, and related regulations. She also routinely assisted Litigation Attorneys, handled FINRA Arbitrations, and ensured compliance with various Court Orders and Garnishments.
In her spare time, Amanda enjoys exploring with her Great Dane and Labrador Retriever, Willow and Daisy. She also enjoys taking Pilates classes, reading thriller/mystery novels, trying new restaurants, and spending time with family and friends. Her favorite time of year is football season (Go Browns and Buckeyes!)
Amanda earned her Bachelor’s degree from Purdue University and is a graduate of The Ohio State University Moritz College of Law. Amanda has been admitted to practice in Colorado since 2017. She’s active in both the Denver Bar Association and the Colorado Bar Association.
