Andrew Braswell
Associate
Andrew J. Braswell is an associate with Messner Reeves LLP, where his practice focuses on litigation.
Andrew brings a strong foundation in civil litigation and legal analysis, with experience supporting all phases of case development, including discovery, motion practice, mediation preparation, and trial strategy. His work has included drafting court filings, preparing discovery requests and responses, interviewing clients and witnesses, and conducting factual and legal research in support of complex disputes.
Before joining Messner Reeves, Andrew worked at a litigation firm where he assisted with active matters from intake through resolution, contributing to discovery, mediation briefs, and case development through investigation and research. He also brings additional experience from another law firm, where he supported ongoing litigation matters, drafted motions, reviewed contracts, and conducted legal research related to intellectual property and breach of contract issues.
In addition, Andrew completed an ethics and legal compliance internship with a global technology company, where he assisted with policy review, regulatory compliance initiatives, data privacy agreements, and third-party due diligence. This experience provided him with insight into compliance considerations that often intersect with litigation risk.
Andrew earned his Juris Doctor and Master of Business Administration from Santa Clara University School of Law and the Leavey School of Business, graduating on the Dean’s List. While in law school, he served on the Santa Clara Law Review and as a section editor for the Santa Clara Business Chronicle, and received multiple academic honors, including two CALI Excellence Awards. He earned his Bachelor of Arts in Philosophy from Colorado College.
Outside of his legal practice, Andrew enjoys skiing, mountain climbing, backpacking, and reading historical nonfiction and science fiction.
