Andrew Welch is a seasoned litigator and transactional lawyer with a practice based in the Salt Lake City office of Messner Reeves. Andrew represents large corporations as well as individuals and tailors his representation to fit the needs of each client. In addition to successfully taking matters through trial, Andrew is skilled in early resolution and has successfully mediated countless cases. Over the course of his career, Andrew has drafted and negotiated a myriad of contracts ranging from vendor contracts, statement of work (SOW), and service level agreements (SLA) to license agreements and software-as-a-service (SaaS) contracts.
Prior to joining Messner Reeves, Andrew spent nearly nine years as Vice President, Sr. Counsel for one of the largest non-bank mortgage servicers in the country overseeing other attorneys and litigating thousands of matters relating to RESPA, FDCPA, FCRA, foreclosure, evictions, bankruptcy, and various tort claims. Right out of law school, Andrew cut his teeth working at a law firm where he successfully defended cases ranging from construction defect, medical malpractice, and premises liability.
