Brian J. Moy
Partner
Brian Moy is a partner in the Las Vegas office of Messner Reeves LLP, where his practice focuses on insurance defense, workers’ compensation, and complex litigation. He brings extensive experience representing insurers, employers, and third-party administrators in both state and federal courts.
Brian has successfully defended clients in cases involving premises liability, transportation law, product liability, and insurance coverage disputes. He has particular expertise in subrogation, having secured substantial recoveries in high-stakes lien enforcement cases. His litigation experience also includes defending car rental companies against sophisticated staged accident schemes and handling hundreds of workers’ compensation matters before the Hearings and Appeals Offices, including regulatory complaints filed with the Nevada Department of Industrial Relations.
Before joining Messner Reeves, Brian served as Managing Attorney at another firm, and previously practiced with several regional insurance defense firms, where he developed a reputation for strategic litigation and practical problem-solving. While in law school, Brian volunteered with the Veterans Legal Assistance Clinic, providing legal support to veterans residing at the Veterans Village of San Diego.
Brian received his bachelor’s degree from California State University San Marcos and his J.D. from the Thomas Jefferson School of Law. He’s currently admitted to practice in Nevada.
