Brian Soriano
Partner
Brian E. Soriano is a partner in the Silicon Valley office of Messner Reeves LLP, where his practice focuses on labor and employment, litigation, real estate, business disputes, and fraud claims. With more than 25 years of litigation experience, Brian represents businesses, executives, entertainers, and individuals in complex disputes, providing strategic counsel from the earliest stages of a matter through trial, mediation, arbitration, and resolution.
Brian has extensive experience handling high-stakes litigation and advising clients on litigation strategy. Throughout his career, he has represented clients in complex business disputes while also serving as a trusted resource for other attorneys seeking consultation on litigation and trial strategy. Before joining Messner Reeves, Brian founded and operated The Law Office of Brian Soriano for approximately 11 years, where one of his highlights was successfully recovering a multi-million-dollar settlement in a single case.
In addition to his litigation practice, Brian has dedicated part of his career to legal education. He served as the Judge Lee Baxter Litigation Fellow at Golden Gate University School of Law and later served as the professor for Advanced Trial Advocacy and Mock Trial, helping prepare future trial lawyers through practical courtroom instruction.
Brian earned his Bachelor of Arts in Philosophy, with distinction and Phi Beta Kappa honors, from the University of Wisconsin–Madison before earning his Juris Doctor from Golden Gate University School of Law. While in law school, he graduated in the top 10% of his class on a full merit scholarship, earned a Certificate of Specialization in Litigation, received the International Academy of Trial Lawyers Award for the Most Outstanding Student in Litigation, and won the school’s Appellate Advocacy Competition with awards for Best Oral Advocate and Best Written Brief.
Brian is a member of the California Bar Association and the San Francisco Bar Association. He is also a founding member of the Board of Directors for the Oakland Police Activities League and is involved with the Northern California Veteran Boxers Association.
