Dominic A. Montoya
Associate
Dominic Montoya’s practice focuses on litigation, sports, and entertainment law.
A Colorado native, Dominic joined the firm after clerking with Messner Reeves during law school, where he assisted in drafting legal memoranda, preparing trial documents, and supporting partners in discovery and client meetings. His experience gives him a strong foundation in case strategy, compliance, and trial preparation across a wide range of civil matters.
Before attending law school, Dominic played college football in Nebraska and later served on the defensive support staff for the University of Arizona Football Team. He also acted as an athletics advisor to the University’s Lacrosse Team, providing mentorship and academic guidance to student-athletes.
Dominic earned his J.D. from Creighton University School of Law, where he was a member of the Moot Court Board, the AAJ Advanced Trial Team, and served as a student body representative. He holds a Master of Science in Marketing from the University of Arizona’s Eller College of Management and began his undergraduate studies at Hastings College, where he was a student-athlete and member of the Student-Athlete Advisory Committee.
Outside of his legal practice, Dominic enjoys skiing, basketball, and staying active in the Colorado sports community.
