Gatluak Ramdiet
Associate
Gatluak B. Ramdiet is an associate in the New York office of Messner Reeves, where his practice focuses on civil and commercial litigation, healthcare, corporate, labor and employment, and general liability matters. He represents clients in complex disputes, offering strategic counsel and advocacy rooted in thorough preparation and a results-driven approach.
Before joining Messner Reeves, Gatluak gained extensive litigation experience in both private practice and public service. He served as an Assistant District Attorney in the Bronx County District Attorney’s Office, where he gained significant courtroom experience prosecuting criminal cases and refining trial strategies. In private practice, he represented clients at with two other firms, handling a wide range of litigation, including healthcare law, labor disputes, and medical malpractice defense.
Gatluak earned his J.D. from the University of Nebraska College of Law in 2019, where he was recognized with leadership and academic honors. He also holds a B.S. in Political Science, cum laude, from the University of Nebraska at Omaha.
Active in the legal and broader professional community, Gatluak is a member of the New York State Bar Association, New York City Bar Association, and the Council on Foreign Relations as a Term Member. He has been recognized by The National Black Lawyers as a “Top 40 Under 40” honoree.
Beyond his legal practice, he mentors law students and young professionals, particularly those from immigrant and refugee backgrounds, and supports initiatives advancing education, opportunity, and justice.
When he is not practicing law, Gatluak enjoys hiking, running, and playing basketball.
