Gregory S. Carter
Associate
Gregory S. “Greg” Carter is an associate attorney with the Denver office of Messner Reeves, where his practice focuses on appellate, insurance defense, general civil, and securities litigation. He has broad experience litigating cases in federal and state court in Colorado, Arizona, and Florida. He has also argued motions and taken depositions in Federal District Court cases. A seasoned litigator, his case background includes litigation associated with banking, financial services, construction, consumer protection, and creditor/debtor law.
Prior to joining the Messner Reeves team, he clerked in Denver District Court and at the Colorado Court of Appeals. He is admitted to practice in Colorado, Arizona, the Federal District Court for the District of Colorado, the Tenth Circuit Court of Appeals, the Federal District Court for the District of Arizona, and the Ninth Circuit Court of Appeals.
In addition to his work as a lawyer, Gregory is involved in the Denver Public Library Friends Foundation, the Read Aloud program, and coaches the JV Boys Soccer team at DSST College View High School. He enjoys playing soccer, learning to play piano, and running half marathons.
Gregory holds a J.D. from the University of Colorado Law School, where he was a member of the Colorado Law Review and the National Moot Court team. He earned his bachelor’s degree in civil engineering from Gonzaga University, where he was captain of the men’s soccer team.
