Ignascio G. Camarena II
Partner
Ignascio G Camarena II is a partner in the Silicon Valley office of Messner Reeves, where his practice focuses , insurance defense, family law, criminal defense, labor and employment issues, complex business litigation, real estate, and appellate issues.
He brings over 20 years of experience in these practice areas to Messner Reeves, where he’s a zealous advocate for his clients either through amicable resolution methods or fighting by their side in court. Before joining the Messner Reeves team, he spent many years working for law firms as a partner and senior litigation attorney. Ignascio also spent a decade as the founder of his own firm handling cases and serving on panels to offer case evaluations to parties with active lawsuits to reduce court congestion.
A member of the California State Bar since 2002, he started his legal career representing the United States of America in Federal Court proceedings. During and after law school, he prosecuted cases with the United States Attorney’s Office for the Northern District of California, Criminal Division.
Ignascio earned his bachelor’s degree from San Jose State University in 1997 and his paralegal certification from UC Berkeley in 1998. He earned his J.D. from the Golden Gate University School of Law in 2002.
He is admitted to practice in California, the United States District Court for the Northern District of California, the United States District Court for the Southern District of California, the United States District Court for the Central District of California, the United States Court of Appeals Ninth Circuit, the United States Court of Appeals Federal Circuit, and the United States Court of Appeals Veterans Claims.
Ignascio is proud to carry on his family’s legacy of hard work. He is the proud grandchild of migrant farm workers and first-generation homeowners in the U.S. He is the son of a U.S. Marine Corps Bronze Star Vietnam veteran and a first-generation college student and business professional.
Outside of his legal work, he’s been involved in the community as a Campbell Pony Baseball team coach, the San Jose American Little League team member, and served as the San Police Athletic League director.
