Joseph X. Kang
Partner
Joseph X. Kang is a partner in the Orange County office of Messner Reeves, where his practice focuses on litigation and insurance defense cases. He brings years of experience from previous roles as an associate partner, staff counsel, and senior litigation attorney handling general liability, employment, and commercial claims.
He’s been involved in all facets of insurance defense litigation, including third and first party claims, mediation, arbitration, trial, subrogation actions, expert deposition, draft pleadings, settlement negotiations, motions, and supervising paralegals throughout the trial process. Throughout his legal career, he has obtained numerous first chair defense verdicts.
Prior to joining the legal profession, Joseph served as a bodily injury filed adjuster for a national insurance company and as the Dean of Academics and Legal Program Director for an ABA approved paralegal program for a college in Southern California.
Joseph received his bachelor’s degree in psychology from the University of California, Los Angeles and his J.D. from the Pennsylvania State University Dickinson School of Law.
He is currently licensed to practice by the California State Bar and before the United States District Court for the Central District of California.
