Maclain is a partner in the firm’s Corporate and Restaurant & Hospitality Practice Groups. He works closely with individual and institutional clients across the country, from start-up and growth stage companies to Fortune 500 publicly traded entities. In Mac’s practice, he assists and advises his clients on matters of corporate formation and structuring, debt and equity financing, mergers, acquisitions, and corporate governance. Mac often acts as outside general counsel, providing broad ranging advice to entrepreneurs, corporate executives, and boards of directors in the hospitality, technology, services, and craft manufacturing fields.
Mac understands successful representation requires deep legal knowledge paired closely with business and industry insight. Corporate structuring, permitting and licensing, intellectual property protection, and strong real estate protections are the foundations to a strong business, but must be accomplished with an eye towards the bottom line. Mac excels at helping his clients protect their assets, and simultaneously, take calculated business risks to achieve growth and future success.
Mac is a graduate of The University of Colorado and The University of Denver School of Law. Prior to joining Messner Reeves, Mac worked for an international hospitality brand, focusing on the management and development of private membership clubs. Mac prides himself on bringing together real world business knowledge to the practice of law, all in service of his clients.
