Kathleen J. Mowry
Partner
Kathleen June Mowry is a partner at Messner Reeves LLP in its Colorado location. Ms. Mowry’s practice focuses on civil litigation and labor and employment, including representing clients with workers’ compensation matters and handling transportation and FMSCA violations. She has litigation experience in both state and federal courts involving such issues as employment contract disputes; wage and hour disputes; sexual harassment; age, race, gender and disability discrimination; wrongful discharge and retaliation claims; and general civil litigation involving negligence, premises liability, bad faith, subrogation, and corporate disputes among shareholders, including breach of contract and fiduciary duties, as well as embezzlement.
As an AV- rated attorney, Ms. Mowry has more than two decades of extensive litigation experience and has conducted counseling services for clients with respect to compliance issues, personnel matters and effective strategies to lessen or avoid litigation, if possible. Ms. Mowry is licensed to practice in Arizona, Colorado, Texas and Wyoming. She completed both her undergraduate and juris doctorate degrees at the University of Wyoming, and studied civil right litigation abroad with Justice Anthony Kennedy with the Salzburg summer institute. Prior to joining Messner Reeves, Ms. Mowry was a partner and shareholder at Treece Alfrey Musat.P.C. where she specialized in employment, general civil litigation, and workers’ compensation defense.
