Oyinkansola R. Lapite
Associate
Oyinkansola Lapite is an associate in the New York City office of Messner Reeves LLP, where her practice focuses on litigation. She represents clients through every stage of the litigation process, developing strategic solutions that advance their objectives while maintaining clear communication throughout each matter.
Her experience includes case strategy, discovery, motion practice, depositions, settlement negotiations, mediation, and trial preparation. She has experience working closely with insurers, corporate clients, experts, and opposing counsel to efficiently resolve complex, high-exposure claims. She is also an experienced courtroom advocate, regularly appearing in court for oral arguments, conferences, and negotiations.
Before joining Messner Reeves, Oyinkansola served as an assistant prosecutor with the Passaic County Prosecutor’s Office, where she handled criminal matters, worked with law enforcement agencies, evaluated evidence, and appeared before the court. Earlier in her career, she gained litigation experience handling personal injury, insurance defense, premises liability, medical malpractice, and general liability matters.
Oyinkansola earned her J.D. from Seton Hall Law School and her Bachelor of Arts and Science, cum laude, from the University at Buffalo. She is a member of the Garden State Bar Association, the New Jersey State Bar, and the New York Bar Association. She also serves as a mentor with Start Out Fresh Intervention Advocates (S.O.F.I.A.), For Girls Only and Becoming Her Mentor.
