Rikus R. Locati
Associate
Rikus Locati is an associate with the Orange County office of Messner Reeves, where his practice focuses on corporate issues, labor and employment, litigation, tax concerns, insurance defense, and legal issues affecting the retail, restaurant, and hospitality industries.
He joins Messner Reeves with substantial experience with transportation, construction, negligence, premises liability, and toxic torts. His prior legal work includes full case management from pre-litigation investigations to taking and defending witness and expert depositions through trial preparation.
Rikus received his bachelor’s degree in Government with an Interdisciplinary International Relations Concentration from Cornell University. He earned his juris doctorate from the University of California Hastings College of Law (now UC Law San Francisco.) While in law school, he served on the editorial board for the Hastings International and Comparative Law Journal. He also received his LLM in Taxation from Golden Gate University, where he graduated summa cum laude with the top GPA in his class. He is currently licensed to practice in California.
