Thomas A. Larmore
Partner
Thomas A. Larmore is a partner with the Orange County office Messner Reeves LLP. He focuses his practice on litigation and insurance defense, bringing more than 30 years of legal experience representing insurers, businesses, and professionals in complex disputes throughout Nevada and California.
Thomas has extensive experience handling all phases of litigation, including jury trials, depositions, arbitrations, mediations, motion practice, and appellate matters. Throughout his career, he has represented insurance carriers, design professionals, contractors, and businesses in a wide range of civil litigation matters. Prior to joining Messner Reeves, he served as insurance defense counsel for a major insurance carrier and maintained his own law practice, handling litigation matters for clients across multiple industries. Earlier in his career, he also worked as a Senior Claims Representative for Nationwide Mutual Insurance Company, giving him a valuable perspective on claims evaluation, risk assessment, and litigation strategy.
Thomas has been involved in several significant Nevada appellate decisions, including matters that helped shape state law regarding construction-related claims and professional liability issues. His experience spans trial courts, appellate courts, arbitrations, and mediations, allowing him to develop practical, results-oriented strategies tailored to each client’s goals.
He is admitted to practice in Nevada and California, as well as the United States District Court for the District of Nevada and the United States Court of Appeals for the Ninth Circuit.
Thomas earned his Juris Doctor from Loyola Law School in Los Angeles, where he graduated in the top 25% of his class and was a member of the International & Comparative Law Journal and the St. Thomas More Law Honor Society. He received his Bachelor of Science in Information and Computer Science from the University of California, Irvine.
