Messner Reeves Sponsors Drink Red Wear Red 2025

Messner Reeves LLP was proud to be a supporting sponsor of the Drink Red Wear Red fundraiser for the Colorado Restaurant Association (CRA) held on June 5, 2025 at Mile High Station and Ironworks in downtown Denver.

Associates Ben Asser and Sam Harden attended the event on behalf of Messner Reeves. This annual event, informally referred to as “Denver’s kickoff to summer party season,” raises funds for the CRA Mile High Chapter Hardship Fund and the Colorado Restaurant Foundation, both of which provide financial assistance and professional development resources for restaurant and hospitality workers.

The CRA is the voice of Colorado’s restaurant and food service industry, working to protect restaurant businesses and help them succeed. Established in 1933, the CRA is “run by restaurateurs, for restaurants.” In addition to red-themed cocktails and signature wines, the event featured tastings from area restaurants, a silent auction and a best-dressed contest.

An Associate in the Denver office, Ben Asser focuses his practice on retail, restaurants, and hospitality matters, regulatory compliance for cannabis, natural medicine, and liquor licensing, and entrepreneurial law. He is also a member of the corporate practice group, assisting with entity formation, corporate governance, mergers and acquisitions, and real estate.

Also in Denver, Associate, Sam Harden focuses his practice on corporate transactions and employment compliance. Sam assists clients with a range of corporate matters from entity formation and restructuring to compliance agreements and employment concerns, creating strategies that minimize risk.

Messner Reeves proudly supports entrepreneurs in the restaurant and hospitality industries, regularly counseling retail, restaurant and hospitality clients on a range of issues from financing to mergers and acquisitions to real estate, labor & employment, liquor, tobacco, and cannabis licensing, and so much more.
