Messner Reeves LLP was proud to support the Southern Nevada Association of Women Attorneys (SNAWA) Miriam Shearing Annual Gala, held September 11, 2025, by donating a gift basket for the silent auction.
This annual event raises funds to support the SNAWA Foundation Scholarship Fund at Boyd Law School, as well as to honor the recipient of the Miriam Shearing Award and Trailblazer Award. Justice Miriam Shearing was the first woman to serve as a Nevada district judge and as justice and chief justice on the Supreme Court of Nevada from 1993 to 2005.
In addition to the annual gala, SNAWA also presents monthly lunch meetings for members and guests. The CLE luncheons feature captivating speakers and serve as an opportunity to engage in meaningful discussions on issues shaping women’s legal careers as well as the larger legal community.
