He has been named “Lawyer of the Year” in the Medical Malpractice Law – Defendants (Denver) category in 2016, 2018, 2021 and now again in 2025.

Mr. Montoya joined Messner Reeves LLP in 2005 and founded the firm’s litigation practice.
