Messner Reeves LLP is pleased to announce a complete defense win following a weeklong jury trial in Jefferson County, Colorado.
Denver Partner Adam Royval, with Associate Cristina Andrews and paralegal Katherine Martinez tried a highly-complex mold exposure and contamination case in front of a jury and obtained a complete defense verdict for all Messner clients.
The plaintiffs alleged the property they were renting was completely overrun with toxic mold due to a variety of water intrusion and claimed property losses, personal injuries, punitive damages, and attorneys’ fees. The Court allowed the punitive damages to proceed to the jury.
Messner Reeves represented the property owner, the property manager, the developer entities, and one of the principals. Despite difficult facts and a convoluted timeline, Messner Reeves obtained a complete defense verdict for all of its clients on all counts.
