Messner Reeves Orange County Celebrates Motor Vehicle Defense Win

Messner Reeves LLP congratulates Partner Aaron Soleimani and Associate Jonathan Weilbacher on their recent motor vehicle defense win!

The case centered around a rear-end motor vehicle accident that occurred in June 2018, with admitted liability by the defendant. However, the defendant disputed the causation, nature, and extent of the plaintiff’s claimed injuries and damages, which amounted to nearly $250,000 in medical expenses over years of medical treatments and procedures (chiropractic treatment, physical therapy, x-rays, MRI scans, pain management, multiple epidural steroid injections, lumbar spine discogram, and an endoscopic laser microdiscectomy).

The jury trial was presided over by the Honorable Judge Cole-Hall at the Norwalk Superior Court. The verdict was delivered on June 10, 2025, with the jury finding that the defendant’s negligence was not a substantial factor in causing harm to the plaintiff, meaning they could not find any causation. The result was a complete defense verdict, meaning the plaintiff is not entitled to judgment against the defendant and cannot recover any damages from the defendant.

Partner Aaron Soleimani focuses on business litigation, corporate, insurance defense, litigation, labor and employment, and real estate matters.

Associate Jonathan Weilbacher specializes in mergers and acquisitions, and business advisory services.

Both work out of the Orange County office, which prides itself on providing exceptional service and counsel in litigation practice areas including employment, real estate, and medical and insurance defense.

Congratulations to Aaron and Jonathan for a job well done!
