Messner Reeves Partners Doug Wolanske and Matthew George Celebrate Case Win

Messner Reeves LLP congratulates Denver Partners Douglas Wolanske and Matthew George on their recent Colorado Springs defense win.

The case in question involved a medical malpractice claim against a psychiatric hospital, in which the plaintiff was initially seeking over $20 million in damages. After extensive pre-trial work, Matt George was able to get the $20 million claim reduced to a fraction of that amount. After a 7 day jury trial, the jury returned a defense verdict in less than 2 hours.

Doug emphasized the great trial work by Matt George who took the direct examination of our client at trial as well as cross-examination of plaintiff’s nursing expert.  “Matt did a great job with these witnesses”
