Messner Reeves Welcomes Five New Attorneys Throughout their U.S. Offices

This summer has brought the firm new cases and with that – an outstanding lineup of new Messner Reeves attorneys. We are thrilled to welcome the following new attorneys to our firm:

Brandon Friede – Associate, Denver Office

Brandon joins Messner Reeves as an associate for the firm’s litigation practice group. Friede’s focus lies in civil litigation involving construction defects and general liability. Friede has tremendous experience in civil litigation, obtaining successful results for clients. 

Before joining Messner Reeves, Friede worked represented developers, general contractors and subcontractors in residential and commercial construction litigation. He also served as a Deputy District Attorney in Colorado’s 4th Judicial District.

 

John Bell – Partner, Orange County Office 

John hails from New York City where he worked in insurance claims and corporate risk management while obtaining his law degree from St. John’s University with Dean’s List honors.

Bell’s practice areas include insurance defense and litigation. Prior to joining the firm, Bell litigated several medical malpractice and tort cases. Bell also won three appellate matters through the New York Court of Appeals and in the Second Circuit Court of Appeals. 

Since 1998, Bell has primarily practiced in the state of California and is a proud member of ABOTA’s Orange County chapter.

 

Isaac Crum – Partner, Arizona Office

Isaac joins Messner Reeves’ intellectual property team as a partner. Crum’s main focus is to advise clients on how to best develop, protect and enforce their intellectual property rights. 

For the past 13 years, Crum has worked hand-in-hand with small businesses to Fortune 10 companies where’s managed the illegal selling of counterfeit products on Amazon, Ebay and Etsy. Crum makes it his goal to provide clients with excellent counsel and the development of a powerful intellectual property portfolio. 

Crum received his law and undergraduate degree from the University of Arizona.  

 

Derek Noack – Associate, Las Vegas Office 

Derek joins Messner Reeves as an associate in the Las Vegas office. His main focus is in personal injury, insurance defense, bad faith insurance claims, and real estate disputes. He is also licensed to practice in Nevada and California. 

During his time in law school at the University of San Diego, Noack spent one semester as a judicial extern for the Honorable Michael M. Anello of the Southern District of California and was a certified legal intern for both the San Diego County District Attorney’s Insurance Fraud team and the Attorney General’s Employment and Administrative Mandates section. 

 

Eric Kibel – Partner, Orange County & Denver Offices 

Eric is one of the latest additions to Messner Reeves’ litigation practice group. Kibel is an experienced litigation attorney based out of the firm’s Denver office and also continues to practice at the Orange County office. 

Kibel has vast experience ranging from contract, tort, employment, civil rights along with statutory claims in commercial, construction, surety, healthcare, insurance, probate and trust, professional liability and several other practice areas. 

Kibel received his degree from the University of Iowa in 2003. Prior to joining Messner Reeves, Kibel served as general counsel for six years for a California-based healthcare provider.
