Kendra Beckwith, partner at Messner Reeves, recently co-authored an article published in the July issue of Colorado Law Magazine titled, The Duty of Competence in the New Normal. Kendra‘s practice focuses on appellate and complex litigation, and she routinely represents clients before the Colorado Court of Appeals, Colorado Supreme Court, and appellate courts throughout the country.
As the practice of law continues to transform, the ethical duties of competence remain a critical component to any successful practice. Kendra took her legal experience, coupled with her knowledge of the subject matter, and wrote a comprehensive and detailed overview of the duty of competence and deviating from Rule 1:1, and competence in both application and a virtual environment.
