Colorado Liquor Licensing Update: July 2021: Take Out, Delivery & Common Consumption Areas

Coloradans have gotten used to alcohol delivery and takeout during the pandemic. Thanks to recent Colorado legislation, guests will continue to be able to do so. Attorneys Michelle Harden and Austin Gemmell cover the new law and what it entails in our Colorado Liquor Licensing Update below. The recent legislation creates new opportunities for liquor license holders’ sales of alcoholic beverages, whether intended for on or off-premises consumption. The new laws modify the current rules and regulations on take-out and delivery of alcoholic beverages, as well as add communal outdoor dining areas, which is a new type of permit for neighboring restaurants and retailers to explore. If you have any questions or want to decide if your business is impacted, please reach out to the liquor license team.
