Kendra Beckwith leads the firm’s appellate group. Her practice focuses on appellate and complex litigation, and she routinely represents clients before the Colorado Court of Appeals, Colorado Supreme Court and appellate courts throughout the country. Her experience includes appellate briefing, oral argument and original proceedings. Beckwith is actively involved in the Colorado legal community and is a member of the Colorado Supreme Court Committee on Civil Jury Instructions, a member of the Colorado Bar Association Ethics Committee and a 2016 graduate of Colorado Bar Association Leadership Training (“COBALT”).
Bruce Montoya manages the Litigation Practice Group and has over thirty years of experience as a trial lawyer. He has participated in more than eighty trials and arbitrations and has successfully defended several complex civil litigation matters, including high-exposure and class-action cases. In 2006, Montoya was elected to the executive committee of the American Board of Trial Advocates (ABOTA) and undertook the office of President for 2017. Montoya is also AV certified with Martindale-Hubbell and has been named to 5280s “Top Lawyers” every year since the publication began giving honors to attorneys in Colorado.
Michelle Harden is a core member of the firm’s Litigation and Health Law Practice Groups. Harden represents individuals and businesses in resolving disputes and in all aspects of litigation and trial. Although a significant portion of Harden’s practice focuses on representation of physicians, nurses, and other health care professionals, as well as hospitals and other health care entities, she represents many businesses from various sectors. Acting in an inside counsel role, she oversees litigation throughout the United States for a large publicly traded company. Harden is AV certified with Martindale-Hubbell.
Doug Wolanske has over 25 years of experience as a trial lawyer and has obtained over 50 jury verdicts, primarily in medical malpractice trials. His practice has focused on the defense of complex litigation including medical negligence claims and professional liability in both New York and Colorado. In 2011, Wolanske was elected to the American Board of Trial Advocates (ABOTA). In 2014, Wolanske was named Colorado Lawyer of the Year by Law Week Colorado based on his successful defense of 5 different medical malpractice cases at trial during that year. Wolanske has been named to 5280s “Top Lawyers” yearly since the publication began giving honors to attorneys in Colorado. He has also been identified as a Colorado Super Lawyer yearly since 2010. Wolanske is also AV certified with Martindale-Hubbell.
