Messner Reeves LLP Begins 2019 with Six Defense Trial Results, Including Four in One Week
DENVER, CO – February 6, 2019 – With nine office locations nationwide, Messner Reeves LLP litigates cases through trial more than average firms of its size. Through the first month of 2019, Messner Reeves has celebrated six defense verdicts and one arbitration on behalf of its diverse clientele.

The law firm’s success rate was on display the week of January 28 with four defense jury results across California, Colorado, and Nevada. These four cases included:
January 30, 2019 – Paul W. Sande in Los Angeles, CA, secured a dismissal of all claims on behalf of a national automobile insurance company in an aggravated liability case in which the Plaintiff was seeking more than $1M in damages.
January 31, 2019 – Douglas C. Wolanske and Elizabeth K. Salinas-Van Orman in Denver, CO received a defense verdict in a Medical Malpractice case on behalf of a general surgeon. The Plaintiff alleged the Defendant was negligent in performing gallbladder surgery asking the jury to reward damages in excess of $800,000. The Jury returned a verdict in favor of the Defendant awarding no damages to the Plaintiff.
February 1, 2019 – attorneys Renee M. Finch and Christine L. Atwood in Las Vegas, NV obtained a complete defense verdict on behalf of a national automobile insurance company after a one-day jury trial in a rear-end personal injury case in which Plaintiff was seeking more than $40,000 in past damages, including $24,000 in past medical bills.
February 1, 2019 – Maia S. Smith in Rancho Cucamonga, California obtained a “Take Nothing” Defense verdict on a Workers’ Compensation Trial after one day of testimony on behalf of a multi-tenant residential building owner.
